First Grade

Hi!  My name is Sarah Moody and I am thrilled to be teaching 1st grade at Hart Elementary!  I was born and raised in Texas!!  After graduating from Wylie High School, I went to Sam Houston State University.  I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood.  I worked in a private school while attending college and began my career in public school as soon as I graduate.  I have taught both Kindergarten and 1st grade.  

My husband, Shawn, and I have 2 adorable, CRAZY boys.  Seth (15) will be a freshman at Lovejoy High School this year.  He loves playing baseball, hanging out with his friends, and of course, playing video games.  Slade (11) will be in 6th grade at Sloan Creek and he is on the wrestling team, plays baseball, football, and recently started riding bulls.  As a family, we enjoy gardening, fishing, kayaking, and traveling.  I get to spend most weekends at the ballpark watching my boys play baseball or football.  

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine.  My mission is to instill a love of learning in students in order to create lifelong learners. I believe children learn best in classrooms where positive relationships flourish, learning is fun and engaging, and collaboration and community are at the heart of what we do.  I promise to never forget that each one of these children is the most important thing in your world!  Thank you for entrusting me with your child this year!
