Hello! My name is Alexis Glesmann and I am over the moon to be returning to Hart as a third grade teacher. This is my second year teaching third grade, but I also have experience teaching fourth grade in the state of Nebraska. I was born and raised in a quaint suburb of Omaha, where I have so many fond memories of my childhood. Growing up, I stayed busy with sports and activities. My mom, even today, still jokes that there weren't many days where we were simply lounging around and relaxing at home. I was a three sport athlete in high school and continued my athleticism into college. The summer of my junior year, I landed a scholarship to play softball at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. I was eager to start a brand new chapter of my life in a new state, however there was always an inkling of mine telling me to return back home to the place so many know as "The Good Life."
I traveled back to Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Although I did not continue to play softball, I found enjoyment in several intramural sports on campus. Years later, I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. And along the way, during my time at UNL, I also was fortunate enough to meet my fiance. In our free time, you can find us exploring the outdoors, hiking with our dog, or planning for our wedding coming up this summer!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little better! Hart has an outstanding school community and I can hardly wait for this next school year to get started!
