Amy Daehnert, Speech Language Pathologist
My name is Amy Daehnert and I am Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)’s resident Speech Language Pathologist. I live in Fairview with my husband of 25 years and my two kids, Blake (16) and Hannah (13) who attend Lovejoy. I graduated from Baylor in 1994 with an undergraduate degree, then finished up at the University of Texas at Dallas with a Masters degree in 1997. I have been a speech therapist for over 20 years with a host of experience ranging from early childhood intervention, private settings, and the school system. I am now in my 6th year with Lovejoy ISD and have served at Sloan Creek Intermediate School, Willow Springs Middle School, Lovejoy High School, as well as the preschool/play-based team at Hart Elementary. Although I’ve enjoyed my time at all of the other campuses with “older students,” my passion is working with the younger population. I’m looking forward to an exciting school year ahead with the Pre-K team at Little Lovejoy Scholars Hart.
Some of my favorite things to do are garden, exercise, cook, and spend time with my family. My family enjoys spending time in Colorado during the summer and winter, attending sporting events, and watching movies. We have 2 sweet pups at home, who make our family complete.
