I am excited, honored, and blessed to be a part of such an extraordinary community of teachers, parents, and students here at Hart! I began my education career in McKinney where I taught 4th and 5th grade and served as an instructional coach and assistant principal. After moving to Colorado and working as an assistant principal at a middle school, I had the opportunity to become a principal and open a new elementary school. I then served as a middle school principal for six years. With most of my family living in the Dallas Metroplex and my daughter reaching school age, I was destined to return to a place I called home and join the Lovejoy ISD team.
For the past two years, I have served as an assistant principal at Willow Springs Middle School. During this time, I have had the opportunity to discover the Lovejoy community and the remarkable educational opportunities for our students. My daughter began Kindergarten last fall at Hart, and I fell in love as an administrator and a parent with this district and school. As a mom, I witnessed first-hand the culture and community that makes Hart Elementary such an exemplary school. It is also a school where staff and parents partner to create educational opportunities unique to each individual child. Because of this partnership, Hart is not simply a school where students are loved and love learning, but a place to learn grit, persevere, and build community. It is a place to build self-confidence and show genuine respect for all. I am beyond thrilled to be back at the elementary level and especially at Hart!
