Kristin Dawson

The library is a busy, fun place to be!  I am very proud to be the librarian at Hart Elementary School.  I have worked in education since 1996.  I have a passion for children's literature and enjoy discussing books with young readers.  
 
Reluctant readers often wander the library scanning the shelves searching for that special book that will get them hooked on reading.  It is my mission to help each student find that book and encourage them to become lifelong readers.
 
I am blessed to be married to my husband Jimmy and we are the proud parents of two daughters, Laney and Josie.  We also have a sweet dachshund named Dixie Bell who is very spoiled.
 
I earned my BS from Abilene Christian University in 1996 and my Master's of Library Science degree from Texas Woman's University in 2002.
 
In my free time I like to read, sew, knit and spend time with my sweet family.
 
It is going to be a great year at Hart!
