Dr. Blake Brandes, an award winning freestyle rapper and beat boxer, visited Hart Elementary today to share an important message. Having a growth mindset, believing in yourself and being kind to others allows you to overcome obstacles when challenges come our way. Thank you to the Hart PTO for sponsoring this program!

Excitement was in the air at Meet the Teacher Night! We are so ready for our Hart Leopards to begin a new year. Thank you to everyone that came, we will see you soon!

We want to say thank you to our Hart families for a great year. We ended the year strong and today had many celebrations the last day of school including; Kindergarten Performance, Kindergarten Awards, Hart Beat, and Our 4th Grade Walk. Have a wonderful Summer.

PTO brought in a great program today for all of our students as they got up close and personal with all sorts of critters, while learning about their characteristics. Thank you Ms. Derrick for bringing in this learning for our Hart students.

We will start slowly moving dismissal Car Line only. Buses are delayed. We will not release walkers, please adjuat pick up. Thank you.

Hart Elementary is delaying dismissal due to weather conditions.

3rd grade music students are practicing error detection in rhythm patterns by playing "Rhythm Among Us" during this week's Music Glow Party. Students listen to a rhythmic pattern, while playing the written notation. "Imposters" are unmatched patterns!

We were so excited to welcome back our graduating seniors to Hart this morning as we celebrated them during our senior breakfast. It was amazing watching them reminiscence about elementary school, see their yearbook pictures, amd reconnect with some of their teachers.

On April 8th, the DFW Metroplex will be in the path of totality for a once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse. Lovejoy ISD is excited to share this celestial opportunity with our students and staff!
Weather permitting, students in kindergarten through high school will be allowed the opportunity to go outside to investigate the phenomena during totality. Because looking directly at the Sun is unsafe, Lovejoy students and staff will be provided certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses. Students will be required to wear the glasses provided except when given teacher permission to remove them during totality. Solar Eclipse permission slips will be sent home by your campus. If you would like your student(s) to participate in the outdoor activities, please complete the permission slip and return it to your campus by April 2nd.
