Mary Ruggeri

My name is Mary Ruggeri, and I've been blessed to be the counselor an elementary counselor since 2005. I grew up in Arlington, Texas where my parents still reside to this day. After graduating from high school, I went off to OU for a couple of years and then transferred to Baylor where I earned my B.S. in Education. I was fortunate to teach third grade for eight years in Arlington, Southlake, and Mckinney before I decided I wanted to pursue my masters in counseling. While I was teaching in Mckinney, I completed my Masters of Science in Counseling and Development from TWU in Denton. That year was extra special for me because not only did I earn my masters, but my only son, David, was born just a couple of weeks after I graduated. My husband, son, and I live in Mckinney with some beloved fur babies. Our eldest, Shala, is a little shih-tzu that thinks she's human. We also have a precious maltipoo/chihuahua mix named Beatrice. Our free time is spent doing things together as a family. We enjoy participating in church activities, traveling, trying new restaurants (I'm not much of a cook), and supporting David's activities and interests, such as golf, chess, and piano. On a personal note, I love all things pink, just about anything chocolate, and being the counselor at the best elementary school in Texas!
